Taliban ban girls from secondary education in Afghanistan!!!

In first regime of Taliban, before 2002, women were not allowed to work and even female teachers lost their jobs after the government at the time shuttered all schools for girls.

After 2001, the education sector started functioning in all parts of the country, especially girls who were deprived of education - regained their right to education.

We had about 1 million students until 2001, but now the number of students is more than 7 million, of whom 3 million were girls.

More than 71,000 female teachers teach in the education sector, "Up to 2001, there existed about 3,000 schools across the country, but now more than 16,000 schools are functional across the country, of which 3,000 are for girls.

Education and higher education grew significantly in the past two decades, with 38 public institutions being established.

In 2019 alone, almost 200,000 male and female students were studying in public institutions.

Both quality and quantity have improved with 8 million children and adults gaining access to education.

During the same period, 128 private institutions have also been established where more than 200,000 students are busy studying.

Hundreds of thousands of students have obtained undergraduate degrees in the past two decades.

Afghanistan has made extraordinary achievements in education over the past 20 years, especially for women and girls. The achievements that Afghanistan has made in the last 20 years are unprecedented in the history of the country.

Now after recent changes of Taliban regime since 15th August 2021, Taliban recently announced that girls are banned from secondary education in Afghanistan.

Boys can return to school with male teachers, and they can carry education till class 12.

Now we have a country where our girls and women have no future. Afghanistan is the only country on the earth to bar half of its population from getting a secondary education.
