Quality Inn hotel has housed people who are elderly, sick, and disabled in a as "protective action" hotel run by the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless (CCH) for the past 2 and 1/2 years. Now CCH is closing down the hotel on September 16th and kicking 120 vulnerable people out to the shelters and streets. Out of the 153 residents only 20 have housing lined up and only 13 are going to other "protective action" hotels. 

More time is needed to secure housing for all Quality Inn residents instead of kicking them to the shelters/streets. If as a City we work together housing can be secured for all of these people in serious need. 

Federal funding will pay for these hotels until the end of the year. 

Residents and HAND and the broader community are asking CCH to extend the lease at Quality Inn until December 31st and use this time to secure permanent housing for all residents.
