As a lifelong supporter and keen observer of football, I have witnessed numerous instances where clubs seem to flaunt the rules without consequence. A glaring example is Manchester United, who purchased a player for over 80 million pounds only to let him go for nothing. Is this really Financial Fair Play (FFP)?

Recently, Everton were hit with a 10-point deduction charge by the Premier League under FFP regulations. Yet other clubs like Manchester City, despite having over 100 charges hanging over them for more than five years, appear untouched by these same regulations.

This situation raises questions about the fairness and consistency of FFP application across all clubs. It seems that some are being made scapegoats while others continue to operate with impunity.

We need transparency in our beloved sport. We need assurance that all teams are held accountable under the same standards and that no club is unfairly targeted or exempted from scrutiny.

Therefore, we call on our government to launch an investigation into how FFP rules are applied across football clubs in England's top-tier league. This is not just about Everton; it's about ensuring fair play for every team and maintaining trust among millions of fans worldwide.
