Madam President of the European Commission Ursula Von der Leyen,

On September 15, 2021, you promised to ban the products of forced labour from the European market: "Doing business around the world is good, global trade around the world is good and necessary, but can never be done at the expense of people’s freedom and dignity. We will propose a ban on products made with forced labour"

This said, we now need concrete actions.  As a reminder, millions of Uyghurs are detained in concentration camps by the Chinese communist regime. Not for what they do, but for what they are.

Hundreds of thousands are enslaved for the benefit of major international brands: based on the ASPI (Australian Strategic Policy Institute) report and campaigns conducted with French and European citizens, here is the list of brands accused of benefiting from  Uyghur forced labour:

Abercrombie & Fitch, Acer, Alstom, Apple, ASUS, BAIC Motor, BMW, Bombardier, Bosch, BYD, Candy, Carter's, Cerruti 1881, Changan Automobile, Cisco, CRRC, Dell, Electrolux, Fila, Founder Groupi, GAC Group, Gap  , Geely Auto, General Electric, General Motors, Google, Haier, Hart Schaffner Marx, Hisense, Hitachi, HP, HTC, Huawei, iFlyTek, Jack & Jones, Jaguar, Japan Display Inc., LLBean, Land Rover, Lenovo, LG  , Li-Ning, Mayor, Meizu, Mercedes-Benz, MG, Microsoft, Mitsubishi, Mitsumi, NIKE, Nintendo, Nokia, The North Face, Oculus, Oppo, Panasonic, Polo Ralph Lauren, Puma, Roewe, SAIC Motor, Samsung,  SMCP (Sandro, Maje, Claudie Pierlot, de Fursac), SGMW, Sharp, Siemens, Skechers, Sony, TDK, Toshiba, Tsinghua Tongfang, UNIQLO, Victoria's Secret, Vivo, Volkswagen, Xiaomi, ZARA, Zegna, ZTE.

You can start with NIKE and ZARA: we know precisely their offending factories and suppliers.

I am at your disposal to set up this import ban and ensure that the products of Uyghur forced labour are seized by our customs and banned from the European continent. In addition, France will hold the rotative Presidency of the Council of the European Union on January 1, 2022 - in barely 3 months: count on us to continue to make every effort so that Emmanuel Macron supports you in banning the products of Uyghur forced labour from the European market.
