What we the people and we the students need is fairness, opportunity, and as promised by the president of SUNY Plattsburgh: "free tuition for black students" and a termination of discrimination!

Plattsburgh State University of New York, aka Plattsburgh College and SUNY Plattsburgh, recognized African American Dr. J.W. Wiley as a socio-cultural leader and policy innovator. Dr. King's pleadings from his Birmingham, AL. USA. jail cell 52 years ago are still relevant to show cause for equitable justice at SUNY Plattsburgh. Dr. King wrote: “I have tried to make clear that it is wrong to use immoral means to attain moral ends. But now I must affirm that it is just as wrong or perhaps even more so, to use moral means to preserve immoral ends.”

We hope Drs. King and Wiley will help to overcome the unethical behavior, the immporal social injustice, at SUNY Plattsburgh, and more so students of color - African American, Hispanic, or any socially-disadvantaged races - wish to have free tuition as promised by the president.

Let your community and college leaders know that it is important to allow admissions from disadvantaged populations, stop furloughing teachers of color, and do something to prevent the high crime rate at SUNY Plattsburgh.

Take action and let your community leaders know how important this social justice cause is. Email or otherwise contact any relevant community leader, at SUNY Plattsburgh, at the City of Plattsburgh and or at local government.
