Microsoft: Discontinue and remove Hyper-V components from Windows 10 and 11 Home
Microsoft: Discontinue and remove Hyper-V components from Windows 10 and 11 Home
Why this petition matters
Microsoft is trying to prevent its competitors including VirtualBox and VMWare from running natively on Windows 10 and 11 Home edition.
Hyper-V is the hypervisor engine that Microsoft develops after they discontinued development of Virtual PC. However, Starting around the 2020s, Hyper-V has now become a major problem with competing hypervisor software such as VirtualBox and VMWare, as many of its components are hidden inside both Windows 10 and 11 Home edition, causing both VMWare and VirtualBox to crash. It's as if Microsoft wants to make a Home version of Hyper-V, but all they are doing is blocking their competition from being used on Windows 10 and 11 Home.
This petition is designed to anyone to demand Microsoft to discontinue and remove Hyper-V from Windows 10 and Windows 11 Home due to many bugs present in the Hypervisor and to cancel any development on a Home edition of Hyper-V for Windows 10 and Windows 11.
