On March 21, 2022, the City of South Fulton issued a Statement from the City Council committing to disable the Live Chat on YouTube. In their Statement, the Council alleges that residents are unprofessional and using it to submit Official Public Comments when the council knows this is not true. The council is attempting to infringe upon our First Amendment Right to exercise free speech.

The vote took place during the Council Retreat that WE THE PEOPLE paid for. They used this opportunity when the public was not present to decide what is best for them by restricting our ability to use the Live Chat.

Please sign this petition as a show of disapproval for the decision made by Dr. Catherine Rowell (1), Carmalitha Gumbs (2), Helen Willis (3), Jaycee Sebastian (4), Corey Reeves (5), Natasha Williams (6). Tell the South Fulton City Council you do not approve of them using the government to silence the People of South Fulton.

As a reminder, the people are the government and if we want to communicate over the live chat, then do not use government resources to prevent us from exercising our First Amendment Rights. If you do not like us speaking about the behavior and decisions of the council, correct your behavior instead of silencing THE PEOPLE.
