There needs to be a law in place that would madate Businesses to be required of installation of Survelliance Cameras in there parking lot areas for Customers safety. For the safety of our Families. For the safety of our Children. This is very personal to me because my 21 year old son, Caleb Nathaniel Smith went missing from a Flying J truckstop in Resaca, Georgia on 01/16/2020. He was found dead and unclothed two weeks later, approximately 5 miles away from the store. His death was ruled as a drug overdose, under some very strange and suspicious circumstances. 

My son's car and belongings were found left abandoned at this Flying J Truck stop in the parking lot. When I asked the local police there, if they could watch the Surveillance Cameras to see what happened to my son, once he walked out of the store, Their response to me was, "There is no surveillance cameras in the Parking Lot Areas, so we do not know if your son left walking, if he got into a car with someone else or what happened to him." They, then tell me that they cannot make Buisnessess put up surveillance cameras, but that they have been called to this Flying J many, many times for numerous reasons. Police can't make businessess install them, even though they receive report, after report of stuff going on their premises. Police then state, "That there are going to be some things, I just will Never have the answers to." Lutientant of Gordon County Sheriff's Office.

If my son was abducted, forced to get into a car with someone against his will, approached by someone who pretended to be nice to him, as a parent you want answers, but I may never know the truth due to a lack of security/surveillance cameras. 

Approximately, two days later after my son's Disappearance from the Flying J, Another Young Lady, Keeslyn Noelle Roberts (20) went Missing from same location. Keeslyn's car and Belongings, were also found left abandoned in same parking lot area, as my son's. Parking Area with no surveillance cameras. She is still Missing!! Local Sheriff's office claim that she wasn't a Missing Person at the time, due to her having some legal issues. However, Keeslyn's Family says she is Missing!!! 

It has almost been a year and Neither Family has been provided Adequate Answers on how, not only One, but two People can go Missing from a Flying J, One confirmed dead and Local Law Enforcement's Response to Both of Our Families is, "We don't know what happened to them because there was No Surveillance." That they are sorry about what's happened and are praying for us, but they can't do anything to give us any closure or straight forward answers and that our kids cases aren't connected and that they don't know How, Who, When or What happened to either one of them, when they walked out into that Parking lot. These answers are Haunting to Caleb's & Keeslyn's Family. Answers that both families deserve to have today. There shouldn't be any excuses for two twenty year old, young adults to go Missing from exact location, within days of each other and one be found totally unclothed and deceased & other one still missing and her family hasn't heard from her. Sheriff's office closed my son's case and still the young lady is missing! It's a sad and frustrating situation here. Surely someone can help both of our families.

Local Sheriff's office Lieutenant says that I may not ever have all the answers. What I would like to see is that this is Prevented from EVER happening to someone else's kids. This is not an Excusable Reason for Either Family's Loved one to just vanish, disappear and to have lost his Life and other loved one to not know if their daughter is dead, alive or someone has her. It's Inexcusable! 

Please sign our Petition to make in Affect the Caleb Nathaniel Smith & Keeslyn Noell Roberts Law, to have Surveillance Cameras installed to prevent the Missing of Our Children, Safety, welfare and well-being of Human Life. 

No parents should have to go through Police telling them that they can't or don't know what happened to their loved one, due to a lack of surveillance cameras for Customers safety. I feel strongly that in this day in time, all Buisnessess should be mandated to have surveillance systems for not only their gas pumps, inside their stores, but in their parking lots, where Customers and familes are parking to visit these stores, truckstops, locations. Most of the time we are all in a hurry for gasoline or a bathroom break, not even thinking about what could happen or go wrong and if no surveillance, how would your loved ones know, what happened to you???
