Why this petition matters

Started by Ramesh Waltho-Brar
  • To create a legacy (in memory of our beautiful precious daughter Neepy Bains), she died on 12th July 2020, aged only 26. Dhneep "Neepy" Bains went to her doctor more than 10 times for pain in her left foot and leg and was told to take painkillers. After 12 months she was eventually diagnosed with Stage 4 Cancer when her mum demanded an MRI scan. Writing in her diary, she said: “If you feel weird, go to your doctor!”
“Let’s get educated, help our young as well as old and keep beating cancer.”

    Raising awareness in Young people
to encourage Early cancer diagnosis; if symptoms or pain still continues and by the third or fourth visit to your GP a referral should be made for X-rays, scans, MRI etc, to avoid late cancer diagnosis. Currently young adults are not being prioritised and often ignored. Too old for their diagnosis to be truly shocking and too young to be deemed at serious risk .
  • To change health policy to require healthcare professionals to refer young patients by utmost urgency by their third visit if their symptom(s) remain. To prevent cancers in adulthood and in Young people and to help speed up diagnosis for better & more treatment options, both within the UK and abroad. (Including trials)
  • A change in health policy that would see healthcare professionals required as standard, to refer a patient who has returned with the same health complaint by their third visit.
  • Produce educational materials (leaflets) for healthcare professionals to ensure they have access to up to date information around cancer diagnosis.
  • Aim to generate support from our local MP Will Quince to support this petition in order for it to be heard in Parliament.
  • Covid-19 should not stop healthcare professionals from making early referrals to avoid Cancer diagnosis in young adults.
  • We ask GP Doctors, nurses and all healthcare professionals to help save people’s lives specially the young from this awful Cancer disease . We ask them to protect us.
  • The law must be changed, in order to save lives from Cancer. We want British Public to help support this important petition.
  • We must specially protect the young adults as well as other ages.
  • An Early diagnosis* can dramatically increase chances of surviving Cancer.
  • Article Ramesh Waltho-Brar : I lost my daughter Dhneep Bains to cancer after doctors failed to spot her cancer with continuous pain symptoms.
