Why this petition matters

Started by Richard John

The Welsh Ambulance Service Trust has plans to downgrade both Monmouth and Chepstow Ambulance Stations by removing the rapid response vehicles (RRVs).  This will halve the number of vehicles at the two stations, which serve Monmouth, Usk, Chepstow, Caldicot and surrounding communities.

Ambulance response times in South East Wales are already poor and the targets for responding to immediately life-threatening category A calls within eight minutes are already being consistently missed.

Downgrading these two stations, in Monmouth and at Parkwall, will put the lives of Monmouthshire residents at risk.  It's essential we make our voices heard by ambulance service bosses and the Health Minister in the Welsh Government.
