Parents and Hockey players please read!

Over the past year, USA hockey has introduced a bunch of rules that takes away from the integrity of the game. Rules I know every single hockey player wants changed.

1. Delayed offsides - in 14u and up, we can't dump the puck in while players are still in the zone. This takes away from our ability as players to move the game along. This one rule causes for many frustrating and abrupt ends to plays. This rule must be changed back to delayed offsides. In the NHL they don't do this, why are we playing the game as if we were rec.
2. Icing on the penalty kill - Not being able to ice the puck on the pk is ridiculous. In 16u, teams have more strategy, so getting ahold of the puck is harder when defending, this is why icing matters. Being able to waste time without the puck being brought back is crucial for a fair game. 
3. Not being able to follow through - when someone has the puck, we can no longer play the body to separate the man from the puck, we must use our sticks. This is not peewee, contact is crucial for increasing speed. 

There are so many more rules that need fixing but this is just a start. WE MUST MAKE CHANGE. These rules are taking away from the physicality, the speed, and ultimately the enjoyment of the game.For the sake of our game, sign this petition. Let's make sure USA hockey knows they are ruining the game. They are setting up the future of American hockey up for failure.
