YOU CAN STILL COMMENT ON THE APPLICATION.

This Petition

A planning application for a 60-metre tall waste recovery park is currently under consideration on land within the National Forest in South Derbyshire:

https://planning.derbyshire.gov.uk/Planning/Display/CW9/1022/22

The Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment for the proposed recovery park/incinerator in Swadlincote classifies the significance of this impact as 'major-moderate' on the landscape of the National Forest and surrounding Green Belt.

It also states it would be a permanent/long-term impact. Comments on the application are still open.

Should this go ahead it will create a permanent scar on the National Forest and its landscape (and the landscape of adjacent Green Belt land).

An incinerator has already been commissioned just 3km away in nearby Drakelow.

By signing this petition:

- you petition on the basis of the representations above. And/or:

- you object to the incinerator being built within the National Forest since it will have an impact on the quality and character of the landscape.

- you are not in support of the developments.
