We ask for simple and clear information on endocrine disrupting chemicals (EDC) and suspected endocrine disruptors on the labels of chemical products.

Leading scientist link endocrine disrupting substances to fertility problems, diabetes, or neurological disorders, nevertheless suspected endocrine disruptors can be legally used in everyday products, for ex. detergents and cleaning products.

European Union promised to protect citizens form these substances many years ago, but till now we are lacking proper legislation on EDC – they are banned in baby bottles, but it’s not enough, if suspected endocrine disruptors can be legally used in everyday product, like detergents and get into our bodies, but also into water that we drink and pollute the environment.

France, Belgium and Denmark have their own national strategies to protect citizens from endocrine disruptors, but Poland has none. That’s why we ask to sign the petition to Parliament and EU Parliament, to introduce clear information on the label on EDC or suspected EDC in the product. So that all mothers can reduce their exposure to these substances, especially during pregnancy and breastfeeding period.

As producers of chemical goods, we believe that we can all benefit from greener chemicals and toxic-free Europe. We ask for new safety standard and consumers’ right to make an informed choice.
