“To Governor Murphy and our NJ State representatives: We don’t want children between grades K-5 having gender identification, sexual orientation, and general sex education. And after that grade level, we want to have the parental right to be asked for parental consent before these topics are taught to our children.”

K-3 students will be taught about gender identification, sex orientation, and sex education in NJ schools if the State of NJ gets its way. A sample NJ lesson plan, says, "You might feel like you're a boy even if you have body parts that some people might tell you are 'girl' parts." First grade lesson plans include teaching the classroom that there are "boys", "girls" and "anyone." Lesson plans name "Purple, Pink and Blue," tell first grade teachers to discuss gender identity, with the goal of having students be able to define "gender, gender identity and gender role stereotypes." Recommended third-party materials have shocking pornographic content and imagery. Some of this content if shared by an adult to a child would otherwise result in criminal charges - but it will be ok for teachers to share with your children.

Republicans are a minority in our State government. And some "Establishment Republicans" seem more eager to get along with Democrats than stand up for what is right. But "We the People" can mandate change. "We the People" can demand that the government "Of the People, for the People," represent us and what we want.

Asm. Peterson's proposed Bill will not only revoke this mandate requiring public schools to teach gender identity, sex orientation, and sex-ed to grades K-5, but will also give parents the rights to be involved in deciding what their children are taught, mandates notifying parents of certain curriculums, and sets ground rules to increase parental rights and improve our schools.

Parents need to have a say in their children's education. When parents are more involved, students do better. And parents are better suited to decide what their children learn than the government.
