The PGMOL needs to change. VAR needs to change. REFEREEING NEEDS TO CHANGE.

This is a petition to ask the FA to address refereeing from the ground up from a structural perspective. This is not an attack on individual refereeing errors.

Significant decline in referee performance and the introduction of VAR is destabilising the sport and potentially opening games up too possible corruption. We have a significant lack of consistency, diversity and transparency which needs to be addressed.

Results are now being defined by the officiating. This is now creating risk for all teams and will impact the sports appeal, financials and the integrity of the game. 

It is clear the current organisation as it stands is unable to address the ongoing decline of match officiating and a full and proper enquiry needs to be conducted. We need need understand what the systemic challenges with correcting officiating within the sport and impliment fundermental changes to the structure of the organisation and personnel to enable the same process made when the FA reviewed grass roots and the performance and structure that supported the English national team. 

Potentially officials could now purposefully be manipulating the system due to lack of accountability and transparency. This could result in scope for challenges such as match fixing, personal and emotional preference and prioritisation and bribery. 

Without change our English game will fall behind other European competitions
