On the 4, December 2021 undercover footage filmed Paul O'Shea, a Terrierman for the East Essex Hunt, attacking a fox with a garden fork after the fox appears from underground.

Initially it’s driven out from underground & bitten by their dog, Paul O'Shea removes the fox from the jaws of his dog, grabs the large garden fork & stabs at it repeatedly. The fox tries to fight for its life, biting repeatedly at the fork, but Paul continues to torture the fox until he leaves with it in his grasp, we do not know what the foxes fate was, whether it died there or suffered a long & agonising death.

Paul’s accomplice, seen in the photo holding the dog in the air by its ears is his daughter.
No charges have been brought against her even though she assisted in breaking the law. 

Paul O'Shea was arrested on suspicion of offences under the Hunting Act 2004, the Animal Welfare Act 2006 and the Wild Mammal Protection Act 1996, but was released the next day on 24th December, just in time for family time at home for christmas. 

An expert on animal legislation suggests there could be two offences may have been breached: The Hunting Act and the Animal Welfare Act for causing "a protected animal unnecessary suffering".

East Essex Hunt deny any relation to Paul O'Shea, but it is common knowledge that Wendy O'Shea, Paul's wife is Master of Hounds for the East Essex Hunt. Paul has been a terrierman for them for over 20 years & we have lots of photos to prove they are connected. 

Objectives for this petition:

- We would like a proper investigation into this extreme animal cruelty by the Essex Police & the RSPCA.

- As part of this investigation to find out if the East Essex Hunt was affiliated with Paul O’Shea’s actions. 

- An example needs to be set for other animal abusers & to see Paul O'Shea properly punished for the unnecessary suffering inflicted onto an animal.
