誰でも０身長になれるようにしてほしい。

 

【Sky 星を紡ぐ子どもたちとは？】

代表作である『風ノ旅ビト』を世に送り出したthatgamecompanyが手掛ける、他者とのつながりや思いやりがテーマのソーシャルアドベンチャーゲームです。

Skyは他プレイヤーとの交流、そしてアバターの着せ替えが主な遊び方です。しかし、着せ替え要素に重要であるアバターの身長は変更可能ではあるものの、隠しステータスが原因で誰でも最大/最小身長になることができません。

 

【Skyにおける身長とは？】

身長は約4000種類存在しており、そこから一時的な身長を除いて大きく分けると最大０～最小14身長の15種類です。身長を恒久的に変えるためには「リサイズドリンク」というアイテムが必要になり、これを使用することで0～14身長の幅でランダムに身長が変化します。

 

【隠しステータスとは？】

隠しステータスは「スケール」という名称で、この値はアカウント作成時にランダムで振り分けられ、「リサイズドリンク」で変更可能な身長の範囲(最大/最小)を制限します。

「スケール」は各プレイヤーによって異なります。そのため、この値次第ではいくらリサイズドリンクを使用しても絶対になれない恒久的な身長が各プレイヤーに存在します。例として、０身長になれるプレイヤーは14身長になることができず、14身長になることができるプレイヤーは0身長になることができません。

 

【なぜ「スケール」が存在するのか】

運営は自由に身長を選べるようにすると、最大/最小身長に偏りそうだから生まれ持った個性を愛してほしいと考え、その結果「スケール」という制限を設けています。

運営は全てのプレイヤーに同じゲーム体験を提供できるようにしたいという理念を掲げていますが、「スケール」は平等・公平からの視点ではダブルスタンダードで、Skyのコンセプトとして正しいあり方なのか疑問に思う。

素晴らしいゲームなのに、決して埋められない差があるのは本当にもったいない。好きな服や髪型を着けて遊ぶように、０身長で遊びたいと考える方もいると思います。その明確な数を知り、運営に「スケール」の仕様に対する不満・疑問を持つ意見がこれだけある、改善策を検討する余地を持ってほしいと伝えたい。

"Sky: Children of the Light" (hereinafter called "Sky") is a social adventure game with the theme of connection and compassion with others, produced by thatgamecompany (hereinafter called "TGC"), which released the most important work " Journey ".

The main way to play Sky is to interact with other players and dress up your avatar. However, although the avatar size, which is important for dress-up elements, can be changed, anyone cannot change avatar size to the maximum/minimum size due to hidden status.

 

・What is avatar size in Sky?

There are approximately 4,000 different heights, but they can be roughly divided into 15 different sizes, ranging from a maximum size of 0 to a minimum size of 14.

For players to permanently change avatar size, they need an item called a "Resize Potion." By using this "Resize Potion", players can randomly change their avatar size within a size range of 0 to 14.

 

・What is "Scale"?

This is a hidden status that is randomly assigned when creating an account, and limits avatar size range (maximum/minimum) that can be changed with "Resize Potion".

"Scale" differs for each player, so no matter how many "Resize Potion" are used, there is a permanent size that can never be achieved depending on the value. For example, a player who can become Size 0 cannot become Size 14, and a player who can become Size 14 cannot become Size 0.

I aimed for Size 0, which is the maximum size on Sky, and used over 500 "Resize Potion", but I have never been able to reach it .

 

・Why does "Scale" exist?

The management thought that if they were able to freely choose their avatar size, they would be biased toward the maximum/minimum size, so they wanted people to love their innate individuality, and as a result, they set a limit called "Scale."

The management has a philosophy of wanting to provide the same gaming experience to all players, but "Scale" is a double standard from the perspective of equality and fairness, and I wonder if it is the correct concept for Sky.

Sky is a great game, but it's such a waste to have a gap that can never be filled. I think there are some players who would like to play at Size 0, just as they would like to wear their favorite clothes and hairstyles. I would like to know the exact number and tell the management that there are many dissatisfied and doubtful opinions regarding the "scale" specifications, and that they have the space to consider improvement measures.
