Dear Sir/Madam,

We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned about the escalating prices of hydrogen fuel in California. As owners of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles, we are committed to promoting clean energy and contributing to a sustainable future. However, the current pricing practices of H2 fuel providers, particularly TrueZero, are creating an undue burden and hindering the widespread adoption of this clean energy technology.

In June 2022, the price per kilogram of H2 fuel was a reasonable $13.00. However, the current price has soared to an untenable $36 per kilogram. This drastic increase is not only unjustifiable but also discourages consumers from embracing hydrogen fuel cell technology.

We are particularly concerned about the lack of regulatory oversight that allows such price hikes. The absence of accountability enables providers like TrueZero to exploit consumers, undermining the principles of fairness and accessibility that should be at the heart of the clean energy market.

Furthermore, it is disconcerting that TrueZero continues to receive state subsidies intended to promote clean fuel infrastructure. The current pricing practices suggest a significant discrepancy between the intended use of these subsidies and the actual benefits received by consumers. Given the gravity of this issue, we implore the relevant authorities and organizations to take immediate action. We propose the following: Implement comprehensive regulations to prevent unjust price increases by H2 fuel providers and ensure market fairness.
Establish mechanisms such as price controls or a regulatory body to oversee H2 fuel pricing practices.
Reassess the use of state subsidies to ensure they directly benefit consumers and promote the growth of clean fuel infrastructure.
Lower the price of H2 fuel to $5 per kilogram to make it a viable alternative to gas fuel and encourage more consumers to adopt this clean energy technology.
We are reaching out to all representatives in California, as well as any other individuals or organizations that can assist in our cause. We believe that by working together, we can create a more equitable and sustainable future for all Californians.

By addressing these issues, we can restore trust in the H2 fuel market, promote the growth of clean transportation, and uphold California's commitment to a sustainable future. We look forward to your prompt attention and action on this matter.
