Why this petition matters

Started by belinda wilkinson

The humanitarian crisis in Gaza requires urgent aid corridors to relieve the people trapped there with limited access to essentials, such as food, water, fuel and vital medical supplies. The United Nations and other relief agencies have repeatedly called for an immediate humanitarian aid corridor to Gaza, but with limited success so far. This petition seeks to amplify the UN's call and petition world leaders to take immediate action.

The current air strikes, compounded by the ongoing siege of Gaza, have precipitated a severe health crisis. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), nearly half of all essential medicines in Gaza are at less than one month's supply (source: WHO reports), while a doctor in a Gaza hospital reports that 40 per cent of the casualties are children and that the system will collapse very soon. (source: The Independent).

We must stand up for human rights and demand that our leaders act now. An immediate humanitarian aid corridor would provide vital relief for the people of Gaza and could potentially save thousands of lives.

Please sign this petition today and join us in calling on the United Nations and world leaders to establish an immediate humanitarian aid corridor to Gaza. Your signature can make a difference – it can help bring about change and alleviate suffering.
