Hello,

On December 13, 2021, it was announced that the beloved BET+ series, Bigger, was not renewed for a third season. Bigger was created by Felischa Marye and executive produced by Will Packer and Devon Shepard. The series followed five millennial friends living in Atlanta as they worked towards bigger and better opportunities both professionally and personally. You’re probably thinking, “Why should we care about this television series?” Well, let us explain.

First, Bigger provided representation. BET’s slogan is “We Got You,” and there was a demographic of people who felt seen and represented in the series. They felt that BET got them. BET finally saw them. Representation may not mean much to some people; however, when you’re constantly overlooked onscreen and in life, the smallest sense of relatability can be comforting at times. For example, a lot of the Bigger fans related to Vince because he remained true to himself. Although he was criticized for his music choices and fashion sense, he was courageous and believed that he could become a successful DJ and music producer. All his hard work paid off in the end. Vince’s storyline was inspirational.

Second, Bigger tackled difficult topics with delicacy. Yes, the series was filled with comedy. However, from anxiety to gentrification to dementia, Bigger covered a range of topics and sparked several conversations on social media.

Next, Bigger blessed us with a phenomenal cast and crew. We would like to say thank you to the cast, writing staff, directors, producers, and every department involved with making Bigger. You all are amazing and cohesively made a wonderful show.

Lastly, due to the cancellation, the Bigger fans have several unanswered questions. Cliffhangers may leave a bit of mystery, but we’re impatient. We honestly need to know what happens with the characters. For example, [SPOILERS] when will Layne and Deon tell people they’re married? How will everyone react? Will Vince get back with Shoshana? Will Tracey get back with Aaron? Remember, the fortune teller said someone would get pregnant. Who is pregnant? Is it Veronica? We need answers.

We are asking that all Bigger fans, the cast, and crew sign this petition. We believe that if The Game could be revived several times, then Bigger can have a season 3, 4, 5, and so on.
