People who are employed by major news sources as journalists shouldn’t be allowed to lie to the public. We rely on journalists to report facts so we can have a general understanding of what’s going on around us. If we can’t rely on news sources to report accurate information who can we trust? Why should we listen to any of them if people like Kat Tenbarge are releasing “news”? This petition is not an attack on her because she is a woman & it’s not based on “my internalized misogyny” as I’m sure it will be framed. This petition is because I am sick of seeing people being fed lies & misinformation by these people. We deserve better & we deserve the truth. Personal feelings & opinions are not facts & shouldn’t be framed as such coming from (again) major news sources. We should be able to trust that the information we are receiving has been researched & reported on without bias & right now that isn’t the case. Lives shouldn’t be destroyed because of inaccurate reporting & Kat Tenbarge is participating in a hate campaign fueled by misinformation. If this petition is successful then maybe we can take a step in the right direction for journalism as a whole.
