On July 22, 2022, A tiny mob of activists bullied two beloved local Saint Paul restaurants – The Nook and Shamrocks - into changing the name of a popular dish, the “Matt Birk Burger“, after out of context reports defamed his legitimate, personal beliefs.

While some might say “it’s just a burger “, we – freedom loving Americans of all political persuasions – believe that “cancel culture “is a cancer upon society, and must be resisted. All voices must be uplifted for a society to be truly just.

We, the undersigned, in the interest of  fair, open, unfettered free speech, and in support of the rights of all people, of all races, creeds, colors, orientations and identifications,  ask the management of these restaurants to reinstate the name of this beloved local man-made-good to this beloved hamburger.
