On December 23rd, 2022 two Macon County residents Nyssa Richards and Mark Miller Jr. Stand accused of leaving their dogs out in -40 wind chill temperatures ultimately allowing the cruel and inhumane suffering of the 5 dogs chained up on their property. All of the dogs on the property were confiscated but one of them, Blue had to be put to sleep due to neurological damage and extreme low oxygen levels from severe cold weather exposure. 

 I am asking you to join me in asking Scott Rueter, the prosecuting attorney and their office to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law and to work harder to create harsher penalties for residents of Macon Co. Illinois who abuse, neglect and cause the deaths their animals. These animals are counting on us to protect them! 

 The couple is due in Court March 14th, 2023. 

I am an animal advocate, volunteer, foster mom and care giver to many animals in Macon County. Protecting animals is my number one priority! Let's use this to give Blue the voice that was taken from him.
