When someone is pulled over for a Drink or Drug drive offence it doesn’t mean they lose their license immediately.

They may provide a blood test which drags the process out. They could then also plead not guilty. All the while the process drags out - the individual retains their license and can continue to drive. Only when they are convicted does their license get removed.

This needs changing - as soon as someone is pulled of suspected drink or drug driving - their license should be suspended pending investigation.  

A car is a lethal weapon just as much as a firearm.
