How does Pacaso work?

Pacaso purchases a home and resells it into 8 fractions of 44 days to be used by the shareholders in increments of 2-14 days that can be used by guests, guests of guests, etc.  The home is set up in an LLC -  the shareholders and their guests, like short term rentals, are anonymous to neighbors and anonymous to one another.  They notoriously purchase in areas that have zoning ordinances against short term rentals and timeshares. They have even sued one town who said they meet the definition of timeshares.

Communities from coast to coast are taking notice and fighting Pacaso’s  invasion of their neighborhoods. StopPacasoNow.org  is a neighbor-to-neighbor grassroots organization fighting this takeover of much-needed family housing. When Pacaso moves in, gussies up houses with Instagram-ready amenities and inflates the prices, there is a domino effect of homes being taken off the market at ANY price point. That eventually hurts the first-home buyers and renters.
