Most major sports are trying to eliminate rub of the green, so why not Golf.  Everyone who plays golf a local golf course gets a bit upset when they hit the ball down the middle of the fairway only to find it stuck in a divot or covered in mud, due to the weather being so unreliable at the moment and probably remain so in the future. While someone else hits it into the semi rough and it is sat up with no issues.  Where is the fairness in that. Surely by allowing Lift and Place all year round on closely mown areas will level the playing field out and not be so reliant on rub of the green.
