We, the undersigned, ask you to grant zoning approval to the Family Interim Housing Program in South Salt Lake City. In August of 2022 families began to be turned away from the Midvale Family Resource Center because it was no longer big enough to serve all of the families with children experiencing homelessness in Salt Lake County. The Family Interim Housing Program would solve this problem by giving up to 85 families a place to stay that is warm and indoors until they can find permanent housing.  No child should have to sleep in a car or tent when it is snowing outside.
