The Historical City of Aurangabad Maharashtra is breathing polluted air 3 X times the guidelines of WHO. the 400 years old Himayat bagh Garden is situated in the heart of the city and acts like the oxygen lungs of Aurangabad. Himayat bagh is also a historical place and has rich in biodiversity and archaeological remains, it is one of the best examples of historical gardens and needs to be protected as Biodiversity Heritage Site.
Conservation of the Himayat bagh Garden is necessary as it acts like a carbon sink and provides fresh air and a recreation place for 15 lack citizens. Himayatbag is also houses to 150 different Birds spices, butterflies, and Reptiles. The Hon'ble Bombay High Court has directed the Govt. To protect the Himayatbag Garden as Biodiversity Heritage Site and the proposal is in its final approval stage.
At the last moment Govt. is trying to Stop the biodiversity heritage conversation Proposal for this garden and use the 400 years old Garden land for urban activities. If not acted now the 400 years old Heritage garden will be lost. its not just a garden , 25000 thousand living trees ,house of more than 150 birds species, 831 heritage trees, heritage building sites and a living mini forest for coming generations .
Just think and act now to save a 300 Acres Biodiversity heritage site from being a piece of history .

हिमायतबाग हे एक ४०० वर्ष जुने ऐतिहासिक वारसा असलेली बाग आहे. ४०० वर्षांपूर्वी औरंगाबाद मध्ये सलीम आली सरोवर आणि हिमायतबाग याची निर्मिती करण्यात आली होती. या परिसरात अनेक देशी प्रजातीची लाखो झाडी आहेत जांचे सरासरी वय २०० वर्षांहून अधिक आहे. वन विभाग आणि औरंगाबाद महानगपालिका यांनी केलेल्या गणनेत येथे ८३० हेरिटेज झाडे घोषित करण्यात आली,येथे काही दुर्मिळ आंब्यांचे झाडे आहेत जी की पूर्ण राज्यात सापडत नाहीत.
· याच परिसरात अनेक पुरातन वास्तू आणि नेहरे अंब्री चा काही भाग सुधा या परिसरातून जातो. नुकतेच नहर ए अंबरी याचा समावेश राष्ट्रीय जल स्थळ यादीत समावेश झाला आहे. या परिसरात १५० हून अधिक विदेशी आणि दुर्मिळ पक्षी सापडतात . वेळोवेळी या परिसरात हेरिटेज वॉक चे आयोजन केले जाते अश्या या संपूर्ण जागेचे जैवविधतते चे संरक्षण होण्याकरिता जनहित याचिका high court मध्ये २०२१ मध्ये दाखल केली होती .
· संपूर्ण विषय समजून घेतल्यावर माननीय उच्च न्यायालयाने आदेश देऊन परभणी कृषी विद्यापीठ आणि महाराष्ट्र सरकार यांना एकत्रती प्रयत्न करून सदरील जागेला जैवविविधता वारसा स्थळ घोषित करण्याचे आदेश केले होते. त्याप्रमाणे परभणी कृषी विद्यापीठ यांनी त्यांच्या रजिस्ट्रार , आणि इतर मुख्य अधिकारी यांच्या संमतीने संपूर्ण ३०० एकर परिसर जैवविविधता वारसा स्थळ घोषित करण्याचा प्रस्ताव कमिटच्या समोर ठेवला, तो प्रस्ताव सर्वानुमते पारित झाला आणि राज्य बोर्ड कडे अंतिम आदेश साठी औरंगाबाद महानगपालिका ने पाठविला. प्रस्ताव अंतिम टप्प्यात असताना अचानक काही राजकीदृष्ट्या फायद्यासाठी Himaytbag येथील जागेवर महिला horticulture college चि घोषणा करण्यात आली. जैववििधतेच्या संरक्षण करण्याबाबत उच्च न्यायालयाने आदेश दिलेले असताना आणि तो प्रस्ताव प्रलंबित असताना तो पूर्ण होऊ नये याकरिता Vidyapeeth चे MB PATIL आणि registrar हे प्रयत्न करीत आहेत.
· औरंगाबाद या परिसरात विद्यापीठ ची ५००-८०० एकर जागा मोकळी असताना हिमायतबाग येथील जैववििधतेचे संपवून याच ठिकाणी कॉलेज हॉस्टेल कॅन्टीन करणे योग्य नाही. संपूर्ण शहर ला ऑक्सिजन देणाऱ्या या परिसराचे जतन करणे हे आमचे उद्दिष्ट आहे आणि त्या करिता आम्ही save Himaytbag, हिमायत बाग बचाव आंदोलन सुरू केले आहे.
·शहराचे ऑक्सिजन lungs शेकडो पक्ष्यांचे घर, लाखो झाडी आणि जैवविविधता संपुष्टात आणून ही जागा काही राजकी नेते आणि व्यासायकांच्या घश्यात घालण्याचा हा प्रयत्न आहे.
· Himaytbag बचाव समिती वतीने मी सगळ्यांना विनंती करतो की त्यांनी हिमायतबाग बचाव आंदोलनात सहभागी होऊन येथील जैववििधता वाचविण्यासाठी पुढे यावे अन्यथा एक इतिहासइक वारसा स्थळ नष्ट होयेलं.
