Cómo bien se sabe, la ampliación del muelle de Corralejo, traerá consigo la desaparición directa de 2 spot muy conocidos y apreciados Punta Elena y El Muelle, y es muy probable que tenga repercusión muy grave en la ola de Lobos, la segunda derecha más larga de Europa.

El proyecto del nuevo puerto de Corralejo amenaza con destruir el ya frágil equilibrio de la zona multiplicando el tráfico marítimo, añadiendo contaminación acústica , química y residuos a un area ya sobre explotada y sobretodo desvalorizando aquello que tenemos de más hermoso , nuestra biodiversidad .
Pone en riesgo multiples zonas deportivas para la práctica del surf , actividad que genera beneficio a nivel laboral en la comunidad local .
El desarrollo por el que deben apostar nuestras islas es aquel que sea responsable con el medioambiente , sostenible a largo plazo , manteniendo la cultura y tradición canaria y todos sus alicientes .
Fomentemos el ecoturismo , el descubrimiento de nuestra naturaleza al mundo , protegiéndola para la posteridad .
