Ban Israeli-Owned Ships from Docking in Malaysia
Ban Israeli-Owned Ships from Docking in Malaysia
Why this petition matters
Ships owned by Zim Shipping (an Israeli shipping company) have been allowed to dock in Malaysia. They can do so because the Malaysian Ministry of Transport permits them. The excuse is the ships are registered in other countries.
However, since they are owned by an Israeli company, by right, they should not be allowed to dock in Malaysia because the Malaysian government's policy is NOT to have any trade relations with Israel.
We now call upon the Malaysian government, especially the transport minister, to ban all Israeli-owned ships from docking in Malaysia.
A Zim-owned ship is scheduled to dock at Westport on 26 December 2023. We call upon the Minister of Transport to immediately instruct the Port Klang Authority to refuse the ship from docking. Failure to do so implies that the Malaysian government is not serious about stopping the atrocities being committed by the Zionist regime on the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
