Before FIFA Qatar made Visa on Arrival rules difficult for some Asian countries. Even if you had family and relatives living in Qatar, Paid hotel booking was mandatory (the the rule remains the same till date fyi)

Later it also stopped accepting Family Visit Visa applications till 23rd December, 2022. However, Till date i.e. 10 January 2023 barely any Family Visit Visas have been accepted and people who have been visiting the immigration centre  have been asked to come after 23rd January. FIFA is over and now Qatar should allow families to come over and visit their loved ones. There are thousands of family just waiting to be reunited. Some have lost their momey in flight tickets and insurance which expired due to their visas still being under process! 

Numerous Work Visa are also being held up. Anyone who is outside Qatar and looking for a Job in Qatar will not be considered as a candidate cause their Visas will not be processed. 

This needs to change and the Qatar Ministry Of Interior has the power to do so. Its a humble request to please start accepting family vist visas.
