The people in the Northern Rivers know they face a future with flooding.  They know they should rebuild to be flood resilient to reduce future loss and trauma but need help. 

The Queensland Reconstruction Authority and the Brisbane City Council have already instigated flood resilient retrofitting programs, the NSW government does not need to reinvent the wheel.  We are asking that the experience of our northern neighbours be quickly collated and broadcast for the benefit of NSW residents.  

We want you to urgently engage flood resilient retrofit technical advisors and instruct them to disseminate information on best practice flood resilient materials and strategies.

We want you to urgently develop funding mechanisms for property owners who do not meet lending criteria to borrow the funds required to rebuild flood resilient.

The Climate is Changing.  We want to change to reduce the impacts of predictable future flooding events.  Please help us.
