معالي وزير الخارجية المصرية السيد سامح شكري،

بعد التحية،

تتراكم آلاف الأطنان من المساعدات الإنسانية على الجانب المصري من معبر رفح، بينما يموت من الجوع والعطش والمرض آلاف الفلسطينيين على بعد مسافة قصيرة في الجانب الآخر من المعبر.

يحدث هذا على الرغم من قرارات القمة العربية الإسلامية الطارئة، والأمم المتحدة، ومجلس الأمن، ومحكمة العدل الدولية، وعلى الرغم من كل قوانين حقوق الإنسان التي تجرم منع الماء والغذاء والدواء عن المدنيين.

لم يستطع التوازن الدولي حتى الآن أن يفرض وقفًا لإطلاق النار، ولا للقصف المجنون على مراكز إيواء المدنيين، والمستشفيات والمساجد والكنائس، فهل نستطيع على الأقل أن نمرر المساعدات الإنسانية؟

إن مصر هي الدولة الوحيدة التي تربطها بقطاع غزة حدود برية، ومعبر رفح بوابة القطاع الوحيدة التي لا تخضع لسيطرة الاحتلال الصهيوني، ولا ينبغي أن تخضع له.

ادعى ممثلو دولة الاحتلال في محكمة العدل الدولية أن مصر هي من يمنع دخول قوافل المساعدات الإنسانية للمدنيين في غزة، وهناك رد عملي واحد على هذه الادعاءات، هو ضمان تدفق الإغاثة عبر معبر رفح تحت إشراف المنظمات الدولية بعيدًا عن التعسف الصهيوني.

لذلك، فنحن نخاطب سيادتكم راجين أن تيسروا مرورنا حتى معبر رفح، وعبورنا منه كقوافل بشرية، حامية للمساعدات الإنسانية الضرورية جدًا لحماية أهل غزة من الموت جوعًا وعطشًا.

نحن لا نطلب حماية، سنذهب على مسئوليتنا الشخصية.

نحن، ومئات من داعمي حق الشعب الفلسطيني في الحياة والحرية، من الشخصيات العربية، والدولية، البارزة والمرموقة، مستعدون لمرافقة قوافل المساعدات الإنسانية لغزة، وهذا يحتاج بالتأكيد لسماح السلطات المصرية لنا بعبور سيناء حتى رفح ثم عبور معبر رفح.

لقد طال سكوت العالم على استهتار دولة الاحتلال بحياة أكثر من ٢ مليون فلسطيني، ولا يمكن لمصر أن تسمح بأن تستمر تلك الأوضاع وشهر رمضان على الأبواب، لذا فإننا نرى أن تكون تلك القافلة في الثامن من مارس قبل بداية الشهر الكريم [انظروا التحديث أدناه].

The Foreign Minister, His Excellency Mr. Sameh Shokry,

While Palestinians in Gaza face starvation, dehydration and disease, thousands of tonnes of humanitarian aid pile up on the Egyptian side of the Rafah Crossing.

This is happening despite the resolutions of the Emergency Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, the United Nations, the Security Council and the International Court of Justice, and in flagrant violation of all humanitarian law which prohibits the denial of water, food and medicine to civilians.

The international community has failed to end the relentless bombardment of civilian shelters, hospitals, mosques and churches. It is even failing to call for a ceasefire. Could we, from Egypt, at the very least, deliver humanitarian aid?

Egypt is the only state that shares a land border with Gaza. The Rafah Crossing is the Strip’s only artery which is not controlled by the Occupation. Nor should it be.

Official representatives of the Occupation claimed, at the International Court of Justice, that Egypt is the party responsible for blocking humanitarian aid access to Gaza. These claims can only be refuted with an on-the-ground response: that Egypt should ensure the flow of aid through the Rafah Crossing under the supervision of international organizations, bypassing all Israeli obstacles.

We appeal to Your Excellency to facilitate our travel to the Rafah Crossing where human convoys would accompany the humanitarian aid across the border and provide it with cover. This aid is desperately needed to save Egypt’s neighbors from dying of hunger and thirst.

We do not ask for protection; we are fully aware of the risks involved.

We, along with hundreds of prominent Arab and international figures who support the Palestinian people’s right to life and freedom, are prepared to ride into Gaza with humanitarian aid trucks. This requires the Egyptian authorities to allow us to cross the Sinai peninsula and then pass through the Rafah Crossing.

For far too long, the world has stood silent in the face of the Occupation’s flagrant disregard for the lives of over two million Palestinians. Egypt cannot let this stand, especially with Ramadan approaching. 

Your Excellency, this convoy should depart Cairo on March 8 [see update below]. Please help us let it happen.

Alors que les Palestiniens de Gaza sont confrontés à la famine, à la déshydratation et à la maladie, des milliers de tonnes d'aide humanitaire s'entassent du côté égyptien du point de passage de Rafah.

Cela se produit en dépit des résolutions du sommet d'urgence conjoint arabo-islamique, des Nations unies, du Conseil de sécurité et de la Cour internationale de justice, et en violation flagrante de l'ensemble du droit humanitaire qui interdit de priver les civils d'eau, de nourriture et de médicaments.

La communauté internationale n'a pas réussi à mettre fin aux bombardements incessants d'abris civils, d'hôpitaux, de mosquées et d'églises. Elle ne parvient même pas à appeler à un cessez-le-feu. Pourrions-nous, depuis l'Égypte, au moins apporter une aide humanitaire?

L'Égypte est le seul État qui partage une frontière terrestre avec Gaza. Le point de passage de Rafah est la seule artère de la bande de Gaza qui n'est pas contrôlée par l'occupation. Elle ne devrait d'ailleurs pas l'être.

Les représentants officiels de l'occupation ont affirmé, devant la Cour internationale de justice, que l'Égypte était responsable du blocage de l'accès de l'aide humanitaire à Gaza. Ces affirmations ne peuvent être réfutées que par une réponse sur le terrain : l'Égypte devrait assurer l'acheminement de l'aide par le point de passage de Rafah sous la supervision d'organisations internationales, en contournant tous les obstacles israéliens.

Nous demandons à Votre Excellence de faciliter notre voyage jusqu'au point de passage de Rafah où des convois humains accompagneraient l'aide humanitaire à travers la frontière et lui fourniraient une couverture. Cette aide est désespérément nécessaire pour éviter que les voisins de l'Égypte ne meurent de faim et de soif.

Nous ne demandons pas de protection ; nous sommes pleinement conscients des risques encourus.

Avec des centaines de personnalités arabes et internationales qui soutiennent le droit à la vie et à la liberté du peuple palestinien, nous sommes prêts à entrer dans Gaza avec des camions d'aide humanitaire. Pour cela, il faut que les autorités égyptiennes nous autorisent à traverser la péninsule du Sinaï et à passer par le point de passage de Rafah.

Pendant trop longtemps, le monde est resté silencieux face au mépris flagrant de l'occupation pour la vie de plus de deux millions de Palestiniens. L'Égypte ne peut pas laisser faire, surtout à l'approche du Ramadan.

Votre Excellence, ce convoi devrait partir du Caire le 8 mars [see update below]. Aidez-nous à faire en sorte que cela se produise.

Mientras los palestinos de Gaza se enfrentan al hambre, la deshidratación y la enfermedad, miles de toneladas de ayuda humanitaria se amontonan en el lado egipcio del paso fronterizo de Rafah.

Esto sucede a pesar de las resoluciones de la Cumbre Conjunta Árabe-Islámica de Emergencia, de las Naciones Unidas, del Consejo de Seguridad y de la Corte Internacional de Justicia, y en flagrante violación de todo el derecho humanitario que prohíbe negar agua, alimentos y medicinas a los civiles.

La comunidad internacional no ha puesto fin al incesante bombardeo de refugios civiles, hospitales, mezquitas e iglesias. Ni siquiera ha pedido un alto el fuego. ¿Podríamos, desde Egipto, al menos, entregar ayuda humanitaria?

Egipto es el único Estado que comparte frontera terrestre con Gaza. El paso fronterizo de Rafah es la única arteria de la Franja que no está controlada por la Ocupación. Ni debería estarlo.

Representantes oficiales de la Ocupación afirmaron, ante la Corte Internacional de Justicia, que Egipto es la parte responsable de bloquear el acceso de la ayuda humanitaria a Gaza. Estas afirmaciones solo pueden refutarse con una respuesta sobre el terreno: que Egipto garantice el flujo de ayuda a través del paso fronterizo de Rafah bajo la supervisión de organizaciones internacionales, sorteando todos los obstáculos israelíes.

Apelamos a Su Excelencia para que nos facilite el viaje hasta el paso fronterizo de Rafah, donde convoyes humanos acompañarían a la ayuda humanitaria a través de la frontera y le darían cobertura. Esta ayuda se necesita desesperadamente para salvar a los vecinos de Egipto de morir de hambre y sed.

No pedimos protección; somos plenamente conscientes de los riesgos que conlleva.

Nosotros, junto con cientos de destacadas figuras árabes e internacionales que apoyan el derecho del pueblo palestino a la vida y a la libertad, estamos dispuestos a entrar en Gaza con camiones de ayuda humanitaria. Para ello es necesario que las autoridades egipcias nos permitan cruzar la península del Sinaí y pasar después por el paso fronterizo de Rafah.

Durante demasiado tiempo, el mundo ha permanecido en silencio ante el flagrante desprecio de la Ocupación por las vidas de más de dos millones de palestinos. Egipto no puede permitirlo, especialmente ahora que se acerca el Ramadán. 

Excelencia, este convoy debería partir de El Cairo el 8 de marzo [see update below]. Por favor, ayúdenos a que así sea.
