I am a resident of Idaho, and like many others, I have noticed a disturbing trend that is affecting our health and environment - the spraying of chemicals in our skies. This practice not only obscures our beautiful blue skies but also blocks out essential sunlight. Sunlight is vital for us to produce Vitamin D, a nutrient crucial for maintaining healthy bones and immune systems.

Furthermore, these airborne chemicals pose risks to public health. They can cause various diseases and illnesses among residents exposed to them. This concern is not unfounded; numerous studies have shown links between exposure to certain airborne chemicals and increased rates of respiratory illnesses and immune system suppression. One of the chemicals in cloud-seeding is Silver Oxide. Listed in the MSDS, it warns, "May intensify fire; Oxidizer, Causes serious eye damage and Very Toxic to aquatic life with long lasting effects." We are surrounded by beautiful forests, that have been experiencing some of the worst fires in recent history. We are surrounded by lakes and rivers and creeks that is being permeated by this toxic chemical being sprayed. The MSDS also states that long-term toxicity has not been studied on human health.

This chemical spraying makes it increasingly difficult for us to grow our own food due to its potential impact on soil quality and plant growth. It threatens local agriculture – an industry that many Idahoans rely on.

The good news? Other states in the U.S. including just recently Tennessee, as well as some countries around the world, have successfully banned such practices after recognizing their harmful effects. It's time we follow suit.

We must protect our health, preserve our environment, safeguard local agriculture, and restore Idaho's blue skies by halting this harmful practice immediately.
