Why this petition matters

News broadcast where I was interviewed by Fox24

House Bill 1156 in Arkansas will require students by law to use the bathroom of the gender on their birth certificate.  As a parent of 2 transgender sons, this infuriates me. Not only that, any school that doesn't follow these rules if it passes will be punished by a decrease in government funding.

Many transgender students will avoid using restrooms at all due to gender dysphoria and just being uncomfortable. My son has been bullied for using the boys bathroom, and now the state is trying to make it even harder for our trans teens in Arkansas.

Please help me stop this bill from going through. I am hoping if we get enough signatures, maybe we can prevent this cruel and ridiculous policy!

Things are hard enough for trans teens in this state, help spread the word to STOP unfair treatment and laws that are specifically designed to make life harder on transgender youth.
