Hello, My name is Alberto Serrato and I am a student at Waltham High School. I am making this petition to get it signed by many people in the community and in my school. My goal for the open campus is to have students learn skills outside of school and learn to be independent without students being baby fed everything they need here at Waltham High but work for the things needed. A second reason is that this school does not appeal to people's dietary needs here at the High School. Therefore if kids who are vegetarians, vegans, or people on keto were allowed to leave and come back to meet their dietary needs it'll be easier for them to eat during the day instead of them only eating fries every day since the school doesn't offer other options to cater to them. Many people who already go out for food make it there and back to school in less than 30 minutes. It also helps local restaurants and small businesses. It´s also said that taking breaks during the day can help students with their memory, it helps them concentrate and their attention span Therefore please consider signing this petition to make a change in my school for the better and have some sense of freedom in this craziness we call the school in the middle of a pandemic.
