Dance Agencies, Agents, Managers, Representatives, Production Companies, and All Other Hiring Entities:

We, the undersigned members and supporters of the dance industry and community, believe that after years of stagnant wages, it is time for dancers to have an increase to Non-Union minimum wages.  In the United States, between 2010 and 2022, the dollar had an average inflation rate of 2.22% per year, producing a cumulative price increase of 30.11% (according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics Consumer Price Index). This call to action focuses on fairness and respect for the working men and women in the dance industry across America. They have yet to see an increase in Non-Union wages in over a decade, amidst annual inflation, making it harder for them to support themselves and their families.

We, the undersigned members and supporters of the dance community, do hereby petition you to support increasing the minimum wages for Non-Union work across the United States, to the following 2022 Dancers Alliance rates:

*Agency Fees apply on top of minimum rates

Rehearsal:                                                    
$225 | 1-4 hours (Anything over 4 hours = Time and a Half)

$375 | 4-8 hours (Anything over 8 hours = Time and a Half)

Show/Shoot Day:         
$750 minimum per show/shoot day        
Rate for additional same day show is negotiable                                           

Tour:                                                                                                      
$2,100 minimum entry weekly rate                                              
Returning tiered tour rates are negotiable

Travel/Retainer Days: $200 per day                                                           
Domestic Per Diem: $75 per day                                              
International Per Diem: $100 per day

*A 3% rate increase will be added each year to the current rates until January 2024, during renegotiation. New rates to begin effective May 1, 2022.
