The Ormond Scenic Loop is a nationally designated scenic highway located in Volusia County, Florida. It is 34 miles of one-of-a-kind resources that include a unique natural environment, abundant wildlife some of which is endangered, and a rich history.
 
The Loop is continually threatened by encroachment of over-zealous developers who see it less as the asset it is and more as a potential income stream. 
 
DREAM GREEN VOLUSIA leads a years’ long DEFEND THE LOOP campaign for the protection of the Loop and its inherent resources.  By signing our petition on Change.org, you strongly voice your support for:
 
1) Land conservation of any and all of the remaining private properties that qualify for a ‘willing sellers’ program
2) A minimum 200-foot buffer requirement for any newly approved developments
3) The principles of Low Impact Development followed on any newly approved development, 
including density increase amendments made to existing developments.
