With the recent merger of CBS and Paramount Pictures, and the upcoming children's television program "Star Trek: Prodigy", now would be the perfect time to see the owners of the Star Trek IP and LEGO strike a deal, and start releasing both collectable and educational toys.

LEGO has long been considered a powerful tool in developing children's imagination and cognitive thinking, while Star Trek has a history of inspiring young people to become scientists, engineers and even astronauts. The potential for bringing these two worlds together could motivate a whole new generation of forward thinkers, and provide hours of entertainment to adult collectors, or AFOLs, alike.
