Purple Hair Day 4 Chiari Global is a fun, non-profit charity raising awareness, support and funds for Professor Marcus Stoodley of Macquarie University, Sydney, who is doing vital research here in Australia on CHIARI MALFORMATION.

Our Founder Melissa Hoffman started PHD4CG in 2015 , with the vision to help others with Chiari Malformation, like herself and children, to get proper care, medical treatment and awareness to lessen the pain and burdens that come with having a chronic illness such as this.

PHD4CG began in South Australia after I was diagnosed with Chiari by accident a few years ago.
Then knowing what I was looking for,
2 of my 4 kids also were recently diagonsed with CM1 so far.
We all suffer quite different symptoms, and it's progressing in all of us more & more. Trying to get updated information to any of the stubborn and uninformed Drs here, is proving quite impossible also.
I've been trying to get answers for some 40 odd years with endless failed treatments & operations , travelling to see various health professionals across the Australia ��..
So I started an awareness drive & now I'm Founder/Director-volunteer @ Purple Hair Day 4 Chiari Global ��
A public Chiari awareness Co , #PURPLEHAIRPLEASECARE.
Fully registered & approved nationwide, not for profit foundation & pages to raise public awareness & funds GLOBALLY. Much needed research has just started in Sydney with Prof M.Stoodley. Also we will also strive to get better treatments of patients, families and their supports.
Events and more awareness , humorous memes to be expected in 2020 with a fresh start, bigger and better things are to be expected :)
