My wife had a disabling stroke the day she received her first state pension and is now confined to a wheelchair. Had she had her stroke a month earlier she would have received PIP and been eligible for the Motability scheme. Unfortunately she now receives Attendance Allowance and so cannot qualify for Motability scheme as the government thinks she doesn't need to go out. Clear age discrimination by the DWP. Please sign the petition to rectify this blatant anomaly.
