Please help me to raise the awareness of animals with disabilities. Having a disability isn't a death sentence. Unfortunately hundreds of healthy animals are put to sleep each day. Just because they are different, because they have a disability and aren't seen as perfect. 

As a disabled dog owner I understand the negativity that is recieved from vets and the public. My dog is paralysed after her spine was broken. She uses a wheelchair for her walkies. She is such a happy dog, she's healthy and not in pain. She loves her trips to the park and the seaside. I was told by several vets that she wouldn't have a good quality of life and should be destroyed! Luckily I didn't listen and took her to a veterinary specialist. They were amazing and told me how to care for a disabled animal and encouraged me not to give up. Pumpkin is now 1.5 years old, she's a therapy dog and also won an award of hero dog of the year.

Pumpkin was lucky, but not all stories have a happy ending.

Pumpkin is now the ambassador of a registered charity called 'Pumpkin and friends' . We help families that own disabled animals. Providing wheelchairs and strollers, helping with veterinary costs and rehabilitation.

What I'm asking is that vets have more training and knowledge of animals with disabilities. Encouraging the owners and helping them. Not just killing innocent healthy animals.
