Why this petition matters

Started by Obnoxious Artist

For the longest time, voice acting is one of the staples in the fighting game genre. Try imagining a game of Smash Bros. and playing as Link, only to have the character to be mute and awkward; or a game of Street Fighter without Ryu grunting and yelling out "Shuriyuken!". What would that be like? Voice acting is what the characters give emotions, even with the littlest of sounds like grunts and moans.

This game contains a variety of Nicktoons titles that most people know and love, and to have them as every one of them as mutes is simply a shame! For example, Spongebob is one of the more lively and bubbly characters out there; you'd expect him to hum, laugh and yell out his enthusiastic and iconic "I'M READY!!!" as he 3-stocks a Lincoln Loud main. However, like the others, he is mute. Taking this into account, the game just feels dull and awkward if you were to pay attention on it.

Voice acting can also be used competitive-wise. It can give out players audio ques to predict what their opponent will do, and quickly prepare a counter for it. Take Terry from King Of Fighters for example, he yells out "Are you okay?" before he lunges himself towards the opponent and perform the Buster Wolf attack. It gives it anticipation.

This petition is to bring awareness to Ludosity, Nickelodeon and GameMill to add character voice actings into the game. No matter how fun the game is casually and competitively, it will fall flat if they leave this key component out! Voice acting is what the game gives it the "OOMPH!" to be fun! And most importantly, you can't just pick out Nigel Thornberry for the memes, and NOT include his line that made him a meme!
