We are looking to not only extend victory fields skatepark, but also to re-design certain aspects of the skatepark to make it safer for all users. For example, the coping around the skatepark is too thick. instead of 3/8'' its a lot bigger and ranges to a dangerous size to where multiple peoples trucks have been caught on it and subsequently they have been sent to hospital. The skatepark has many of these details that could be changed to not only make it safer, but more marketable to new audiences.

Extending the skatepark to create more space for the dozens of new kids and adults showing up every day will create a bigger community of people that want to stay away from anti-social behaviour. This sport is growing so quickly, due to the Olympics and Sky Brown, that this extension is vital to maintain this growth and now is the time to seize it, moreover, it give kids in this area a vice that keeps them away from bad habits (which seem to be more common than ever). 

Getting the skatepark extended would ultimately create a better community for kids in the local area, and also skateboarders from different areas would visit more, which in turn would benefit local businesses. If you are in the areas around the park please sign the petition to help the cause out.
