Community Petition regarding 309 Queen Mary Road Kingston
Community Petition regarding 309 Queen Mary Road Kingston
Why this petition matters
We the undersigned, recognizing the potentiality for adverse effects to our community’s safety, security, cleanliness, peace, and sense of belonging, ask Kingston City Council to honour the promises made by Mayor Paterson and AMHS-KFLA’s Executive Director of Client Services, Carol Ravnaas, as reported in the February 17, 2024 Whig Standard article “Integrated Care Hub Evolving” which states that neither the Integrated Care Hub nor any of its services will be offered at the 309 Queen Mary Road property.
Furthermore, we are opposed to any transitional care model/services proposed by the city and/or nonprofit agencies at the 309 Queen Mary location.
We request that City Council legally bind any service providers as stipulated to prevent any adverse effects on our neighbourhoods from any proposed change of use to the property at 309 Queen Mary Road.
As community stakeholders, we further request that the City involve current residents of this district in providing meaningful input into the planning of this property.
