Why this petition matters

Started by Cade Redmond
  • Nearly 4,000 drownings occur every year in the US
  • 1 out of 7 injury related deaths are due to drowning
  • a person can drown in as little as 60 seconds

While lifesaver rings are often found on boats and at pools, rarely are they found on docks and piers. Most states and local governments do not have requirements that lifesaver rings be located at places of public water access. The lifesaver ring is like a seatbelt to all those near water - they save lives.

Please support lifesaver rings at all public water access points and help us make SEA CHANGE.
