WE ARE ALL ONE

Towards a Future in Global Peace and Freedom 

In a globalized world, the enormous challenges can only be solved together. We, the undersigned of this petition, believe in the power of community and that sustainable change happens from within.

This is a historic moment. The war, that has been sparked in Europe, but also dozens of other armed conflicts worldwide, remind us once again of the futility of violence. The time is ripe for a shift in consciousness as the future of humanity in the 21st century and that of the entire planet is at stake.

The fear of a new Cold War - combined with militarization, destruction and countless victims - paralyzes many people. The traumatization of an entire generation can set us back decades – politically, economically and culturally. It is therefore high time for a change of direction: new paradigms are required! Every war is ultimately an expression of fear - the opposite of love. We consciously choose to counteract this fear.

We, the undersigned, no longer want to give space to fear or hatred. Let us create conditions together that enable all people to live a life that is free of fear and humane. Let us focus on respect, dialogue and compassion. Let us overcome old enemy images together and forgive each other. Let us create a just world together, founded in solidarity: from north to south, from east to west, around the globe.

It is crucial that we make ourselves aware every day that all of humanity forms an inseparable unit – despite all differences. We, the undersigned, see ethnic and cultural diversity as an asset, not a threat. We are all part of nature, part of this wonderful planet, part of life. Ultimately, we all have the same needs, rights and obligations.

We, the undersigned, strive to set a good example. With our signature, we commit ourselves to creating peace: peace within ourselves, peace in our families and peace in a larger social and political context.

Sustainable change must first come from within. Science, technology and politics alone cannot achieve this goal as long as our consciousness is at war. Therefore, each individual is called upon to contribute their part to peace. The more people realize this, the more people connect in the same spirit, the faster things will turn out for the better. It is in our hands to transform the world into a paradise for us and for generations to come.
 
We, the undersigned, hereby form a new peace movement - physically through our presence, emotionally through our solidarity and mentally through an unconditional commitment to peace. As instruments of change, we rely on personal responsibility, dialogue and compassion.
 
At the same time, we demand that the international community end all armed conflicts and lay down all weapons. We demand that politicians take responsibility for the many problems that threaten us even without war, especially poverty, oppression, environmental degradation and climate change.
 
We also demand the consistent enforcement of human rights and international law. We demand political participation for all, the protection of nature and the environment, and the abolition of privileges based on nationality, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, race, age, ableness or social class.
 
We, the undersigned, see ourselves as peaceful citizens of the world and expect to be respected and treated accordingly.
